Epoxy-Coated Steel Reinforcing Bar is used instead of conventional reinforcing bars to strengthen the concrete and protect against corrosion. The epoxy is coated in Durable factory to the steel prior to transportation. Epoxy-Coated Steel Reinforcing Bars can be used in any concrete subjected to corrosive conditions. These may include exposure to deicing salts or marine waters, Epoxy coated rebar is utilized in the following structures:

Durable Epoxy-coated steel reinforcing bars can meet ASTM A775/A775M, ASTM A934/A934M or ISO 14656-1999 according request. ASTM A775/A775M specifies deformed and plain steel reinforcing bars with a protective, fusion-bonded epoxy coating applied by the electrostatic spray method. ASTM A934/A934M covers deformed and plain steel reinforcing bars that are fabricated prior to surface preparation and then coated with a protective fusion-bonded epoxy coating by electrostatic spray or other suitable method.
